It’s called the Campagna T-Rex 14RR, and yes, like the Jurassic monster that it’s named after, this T-Rex 14RR is sure get the hairs on your neck standing on end.
It sports a 1.4-litre Kawasaki engine, the 14RR, and uses three wheels; two to steer and one for propulsion.
Motorbikes aren’t really our thing; they’re a bit cold, dangerous and impractical. Oh, and they have trouble standing up straight.
Campagna T-Rex 14RR |
For those who still want the speed of a motorbike but like the warmth, safety and… stability of a car though, a company called Campagna has just the thing. Of course, being named ‘T-Rex’ it’s going to have a fair amount of power about it. And it does. Up to 147kW of power is on offer, which is channelled through a six-speed sequential gearbox. It’s enough to bring the T-Rex from 0-100km/h in just 3.9 seconds and push it all the way to a top speed of 232km/h.
o you want warmth? Yes, it has a roof… sort of. Safety? Yes, there’s plenty of that as the chassis of the 14RR incorporates a full reinforced roll cage with triangulated side walls into its chassis. It also has a frontal crash zone developed into its construction and three-point seat belts for you and your… pillion passenger.
